PULLMAN, Wash. -

A Pullman middle school student goes above and beyond after her classmate fell victim to bullying.  We first heard about this story after the Pullman Police shared a picture with the 12-year-old girl. They heard about what Sara Thistlewaite did and rewarded her with a special delivery.

Sara saw older kids bullying a girl because of her shoes since they had holes in them and Sara didn't think that was right. Sara wanted to do something for this girl and asked her mom if she could give some of her own shoes. She came over to Sara's house and picked out three pairs. She wears them every day and says thank you because of her kind gesture. "I actually once was bullied before and I felt really bad and I just didn't want her to feel that way," said Sara.

Pullman police say to please remind your children of the importance of kindness because one small act can go a long way.
